What is the goal of the project?

The project intends to contribute to the consolidation of a peaceful and inclusive Rwandan society through enhanced citizens’ participation and ownership of reconciliation processes as well as responsive policies and programs.

What is the project aim?

Duhuze project aims at enhancing psychosocial support for people inclusive of young men and young women affected by transgenerational trauma in target communities. To improve trust among diverse groups through inclusive dialogues and joint economic initiatives; And last but not least enhance capacities of authorities, civil society organizations(CSOs) and private sector to effectively implement the reconciliation policy and build peace.

Who is the project benefiting?

The project works directly with groups of people who have different experiences of conflict together, local authorities, and CSOs the project uses a gender relational approach to serve certain groups such as: poorer women, women headed households and widows.

What are the areas of operation?

Duhuze project operates in seven Districts notably

  1. Southern Province; Huye, Nyamagabe and Gisagara districts
  2. Western Province; Rubavu and Ngororero districts
  3. North Province; Musanze district
  4. Kigali City; Gasabo district
